Job Description

Job Description

About the role

\n

Talent Bridges is an O-1 agent and petitioner for exceptional professionals of any nationality: founders, engineers, researchers, creatives and athletes. We pair a tech-enabled petition-building process with a small, hands-on case team, and we’re growing fast.

\n

\n

We’re looking for an independent US-licensed immigration attorney to serve as attorney of record on O-1A and O-1B petitions referred through Talent Bridges. You’ll run your own practice, represent beneficiaries directly, and exercise full independent legal judgment on strategy, eligibility, and every filing. Our case managers prepare evidence packages through our petition portal, so your time goes to legal work rather than document chasing.

\n

\n

What success looks like

\n
    \n
  • Petitions that are approved on first submission, with RFEs kept rare and answered quickly and decisively when they come
  • \n
  • Clear, honest eligibility assessments, so we take on cases we can win and tell people early when they aren’t ready
  • \n
  • Reliable, agreed turnaround times on case reviews and filings, so beneficiaries and our case team can plan around them
  • \n
  • Beneficiaries who feel informed and confident throughout the process
  • \n
\n

\n

Responsibilities

\n
    \n
  • Serve as attorney of record for O-1 beneficiaries, including filing Form G-28 and maintaining direct attorney–client relationships
  • \n
  • Assess eligibility against the O-1A and O-1B criteria and advise on case strategy, including which criteria to pursue and how to frame the field of endeavor
  • \n
  • Review and finalize I-129 petitions, O supplements, itineraries, and agent/petitioner documentation before filing
  • \n
  • Draft and edit petition cover letters and legal briefs that map evidence to each regulatory criterion
  • \n
  • Review expert opinion letters, recommendation letters, and advisory opinions or consultation letters for accuracy, consistency, and persuasive strength
  • \n
  • Draft responses to Requests for Evidence (RFEs) and Notices of Intent to Deny (NOIDs)
  • \n
  • Advise beneficiaries on consular processing, change of status, extensions, and related O-2 and O-3 matters
  • \n
  • Give feedback to our case managers on evidence quality and recurring weaknesses
  • \n
  • Monitor USCIS policy updates, Policy Manual changes, and AAO decisions affecting O-1 adjudication, and flag what changes the approach
  • \n
  • Maintain compliance with your state bar’s professional responsibility rules, including client confidentiality, conflicts checks, and independent professional judgment
  • \n
  • Maintain your own professional liability (malpractice) insurance, engagement letters with beneficiaries, and practice management systems
  • \n
\n

\n

Qualifications

\n
    \n
  • Juris Doctor (JD) and active license in good standing in at least one US state or DC
  • \n
  • 3+ years of US business immigration experience, with a demonstrated O-1 track record
  • \n
  • Deep working knowledge of 8 CFR 214.2(o), the USCIS Policy Manual, and current O-1 adjudication trends
  • \n
  • Experience with agent/petitioner structures and multi-employer itineraries
  • \n
  • Excellent legal writing, especially persuasive briefs and RFE responses
  • \n
  • Comfort working remotely and asynchronously with an international team across time zones
  • \n
  • Ability to explain complex legal requirements in plain language to clients from diverse backgrounds
  • \n
  • Familiarity with tech, AI, startup, or creative-industry clients is a plus
  • \n
  • Additional languages (such as Portuguese, Spanish, or French) are a plus
  • \n
\n

\n

Engagement terms

\n
    \n
  • Independent contractor relationship; you set your own hours, work from your own location, and use your own tools
  • \n
  • You may maintain other clients and your own practice alongside this engagement
  • \n
  • Engagement governed by a written contractor agreement
  • \n
\n
